John has presented papers at national and international conferences in the area of the interface between public and private sectors in Health Maintenance Organization and Community Mental Health Center administration. Presently, he is a consultant to several national Managed Behavioral Health Organizations in the areas of credentialing, programming, review of new technology efficacy, and quality assurance matters. He serves as a psychological consultant regarding CNS Clinical Research for Quintiles in Kansas City.

John has taught multiple courses in undergraduate psychology at three separate colleges. He has been honored by the National Council of Alcohol and Drug Dependence as 2005 Outstanding Professional of the Year for Service.

John is also one of the original co-founders of the Kansas City interdisciplinary collaborative group practice comprised of attorneys, financial planners and mental health professionals. The mission of the group is the establishment of a peaceful and collaborative vesus adversarial process for resolving disputes so the outcomes meet mutual needs.
